Pax the Koala is the AI learning companion unique to BrightPath AI Tutoring. Built by founder Andrew Dainty in 2025, Pax guides students through every Maths and English lesson on the platform, answers questions instantly inside the app, and celebrates their progress. He is not a real person, not affiliated with any other brand's mascot, and exists only inside BrightPath AI Tutoring.

Who is Pax?

Species

Koala — a nod to BrightPath's Australian roots. Not a generic mascot; Pax was designed specifically for K-12 learning contexts.

Role

AI learning companion. Guides students through lessons, explains concepts in age-appropriate language, provides hints without giving away answers.

Personality

Patient, celebratory, never judgemental. Speaks in simple language. Asks leading questions before handing over answers. Genuinely pleased when students get things right.

What Pax does inside every lesson

Pax the Koala is a character specifically created for BrightPath AI Tutoring's online tutoring platform. He is not affiliated with any other koala mascot in the Australian market — including (but not limited to) Koala Mattress, Bundaberg Koala, Optus' brand koalas, or fictional characters in publishing. Pax exists only within the BrightPath AI Tutoring platform and its marketing materials.
