Our Story
Proudly Australian owned. Helping children build confidence and capability in Maths and English.
How It All Began
BrightPath AI Tutoring started because Andrew Dainty's son was falling behind at school — and Andrew recognised exactly what was happening, because the same thing had happened to him 30 years earlier.
Andrew's son has ADHD. So does Andrew. In Andrew's generation, that meant a classroom that moved at a pace his brain didn't match — and a child who spent years quietly struggling, mislabelled as "not applying himself". He didn't want his son to live the same story.
He looked for an online platform that would start with "where is your child right now?" instead of "what year are they in?". Something that adapted to how his son actually learned, not how the average student is supposed to learn. Nothing fit. So in 2025, working out of Blackwall on the NSW Central Coast, he built BrightPath.
Every design decision reflects that origin. Short lessons, because attention spans are real for every kid. Diagnostic-first, because where a kid is matters more than which year level they're "in". Instant answers via Pax the Koala, because "get unstuck now" beats "ask your tutor on Thursday". A weekly report to parents that says what actually happened, not a generic progress bar.
BrightPath is built for every kid — not just neurodiverse ones. The platform started with one ADHD child in mind, but the features that help him (shorter lessons, diagnostic placement, no-shame revisiting, instant help) help any child. Kids who are ahead and bored. Kids who are behind and stuck. Kids who are neurotypical but had a rough term. All of them benefit from a platform that meets them where they are.
BrightPath now serves families worldwide — Australia, UK, US, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, and Europe — but the reason it exists is still the same: bright kids who aren't standing on the median of their class deserve a platform that meets them where they are, not where the average is.
What Drives Us
"Every child deserves to feel confident and capable in Maths and English."
We believe in personalised learning that meets each child where they are — not where their age or year level says they should be. When a child's gaps are identified and filled at their own pace, confidence grows and results follow.
What We Believe
We believe every child has the potential to succeed. With the right support, at the right level, progress is inevitable.
Every child starts with a diagnostic assessment. Their learning plan is built around their unique strengths and gaps — not just their year level.
Behind every lesson is a smart learning system that spots gaps instantly and steps in with visual explanations when your child gets stuck.
Every lesson is mapped to the Australian Curriculum v9, ensuring your child is learning exactly what they need for school success.
Quality education shouldn't break the bank. Our plans start from $14.95/week with sibling access included, making personalised learning accessible to more families.
Built to drive real progress — instant feedback, curriculum-mapped lessons, and weekly reports so parents see what's actually happening, not a generic progress bar.

How It Works
BrightPath is solo-founder-run. Andrew writes the code, structures the curriculum, and answers every support email personally. But every lesson also draws on four layers of thinking — built into the platform itself.
Every lesson is mapped to the Australian Curriculum v9 directly — strand-by-strand, year-by-year — so content matches exactly what your child's school teaches.
When your child gets something wrong, a visual explainer steps in automatically — diagrams, number lines, worked examples — to guide them to understanding.
The diagnostic places your child at their actual level — not their age. Lessons then sequence to fill gaps first, even when those gaps are in earlier year levels. Works well for neurodiverse learners who need flexible pacing.
Email us and the founder replies personally — usually within 2 hours during AEDT business hours. No support queue, no offshore call centre, no automated case IDs. Plus a weekly email showing exactly what your child worked on.
BrightPath AI Tutoring is independently owned and run by founder-developer Andrew Dainty in Blackwall, NSW Central Coast. A platform built by one educator-developer who answers every email personally. Aligned to the Australian Curriculum v9 with NAPLAN preparation for Years 3, 5, 7 and 9.
BrightPath AI Tutoring (this site, brightpath.school) is an online tutoring platform for families, founded in 2025 by Andrew Dainty in Blackwall, NSW Central Coast, Australia.
BrightPath Educational Assessment (brightpath.com.au) is a separate, unrelated company that provides assessment-moderation software used by Australian schools. The two have no shared ownership, no shared products, and serve different audiences — families vs schools.
If you were looking for the assessment-software product, you can find it at brightpath.com.au. If you were looking for online tutoring for your child, you're in the right place.
