How to Read a Story

When we read a story, we need to think about what is happening. Here are some things to look for:

Understanding the Story

Key Vocabulary

Story

Words that tell us about something that happened.

Character

A person or animal in a story. Sam the dog is a character!

Beginning

The start of the story. What happens first.

Ending

The finish of the story. What happens last.
