Fractions: Halves and Quarters

Understand halves (½) and quarters (¼) as equal parts of a whole or a collection.

A quarter divides a whole into 4 equal parts; each part is written as ¼.

Two quarters equal one half: ¼ + ¼ = ½.

denominator
