Mixed Numbers and Improper Fractions

A mixed number has a whole number and a fraction, like 2¾. An improper fraction has a numerator bigger than its denominator, like 11/4.

To convert: 7/3 = 2 remainder 1 = 2⅓

To convert back: 2⅓ = (2×3+1)/3 = 7/3
