Square Numbers

Square numbers are the result of multiplying a whole number by itself, and they can be arranged into perfect square dot patterns.

Square numbers can be shown as square arrays of dots

The first five square numbers are 1, 4, 9, 16, 25

The notation n² means "n squared" (e.g. 4² = 16)
