High School SAT Prep Writing & Language — Set 2

SAT Reading & Writing — Writing & Language (Set 2)

A second round of grammar, punctuation and expression practice — fresh sentences covering the same conventions as Set 1.

Exam Tips for Writing & Language

1. "Neither" and "each" are always singular, no matter how long the phrase that follows them is.
2. FANBOYS conjunctions (for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so) joining two independent clauses need a comma before them.
3. Future perfect ("will have + past participle") describes something that will be complete before a future point in time.
4. Rhetorical synthesis: reread the stated goal every time — the same notes can support totally different "best" answers depending on the goal.
